Atelier
We teach and guide.
Instruction, critique, portfolio direction, planning, organization, research support, and age-appropriate mentorship.
Our role · your student’s role · the college’s decision
Atelier brings instruction, mentorship, planning, and honest guidance. Students bring the work and growing leadership. Families bring support. Colleges make their own final decisions.

Instruction, critique, portfolio direction, planning, organization, research support, and age-appropriate mentorship.
The student
Making art, responding to feedback, communicating, meeting responsibilities, and submitting accurate final materials.
The college
Each institution evaluates applicants according to its own priorities, competition, available space, and changing requirements.
Why we share this
Serious mentorship includes being honest about what we can control, what the student must own, and what remains in the hands of each institution.
01
Oam Studios Atelier provides art instruction, portfolio development, planning, research support, organization, and advising. Participation does not guarantee admission to any college, university, art school, program, exhibition, scholarship, financial-aid award, or other opportunity.
Admissions and award decisions are made independently by each institution and may depend on artistic work, academics, essays, recommendations, institutional priorities, available space, applicant competition, financial considerations, deadlines, and other factors outside Oam Studios’ control.
02
The student and family remain responsible for attendance, sustained effort, completing artwork and assignments, responding to feedback, reviewing application materials, meeting deadlines, paying required fees, and submitting complete and accurate applications.
Project-hour estimates and schedules are planning tools. Completion depends on project scope, media, skill level, revision needs, attendance, outside work time, and the student’s pace. Falling behind, changing goals, missing meetings, or investing fewer hours than planned may reduce what can reasonably be completed.
03
Application requirements, portfolio specifications, tuition, fees, financial-aid information, deadlines, acceptance data, and program details can change. Oam Studios may help collect and organize this information, but the student and family should verify final requirements directly with each institution before relying on or submitting them.
04
Instruction and feedback are intended to support the student’s own artistic development. Oam Studios does not promise a particular creative result, portfolio score, completion date, artistic style, or level of competitiveness. Portfolio recommendations reflect professional judgment at a particular point in the student’s development and may change as the work or college list changes.
05
The specific services included for a student are determined by the selected program, written enrollment terms, and any separately purchased instruction or advising. Atelier is not a law firm, financial-aid office, testing agency, application platform, or college admissions office. Families should obtain appropriate professional advice when legal, financial, disability-accommodation, immigration, or other specialized questions arise.
06
By enrolling or using Atelier college-planning services, the student and parent or guardian acknowledge that Oam Studios provides education, planning, and support—not an admissions guarantee—and that final decisions and submissions remain the family’s responsibility.
